Hall Hill Farm

We have visited Hall Hill Farm on many occasions and enjoyed our visits. We had season tickets for a few years until the children got too old to appreciate it. Information here is based on visits prior to 2001, please check their web site for up to date information!

Hall Hill Farm is well sign posted from Lanchester which is beside the A691 between Durham City and Consett
in North East England.

The farm has a variety of buildings for shelter but we always took warm clothing, the site is quite high up. We preferred to have a meal before looking around and handling the animals. The farm has a cafe and plenty facilities for washing hands. We sometimes went shopping in Lanchester for chips or called at the bakers.

The children enjoyed handling chicks, rabbits, guinea pigs and feeding the lambs. Packets of animal food were available at reasonable prices.

The main part of the farm is on a reasonably level site, some parts were slightly bumpy for buggies. A season ticket was not a 52 week ticket but we thought it good value to get one early in the year.
