Beamish Village
Beamish village is in County Durham in North East England.
It is only a few miles from
Stanley
Beamish Museum
is behind the village and is well signposted
from the A1M, Junction 63.
Beamish is about 12 miles north west of
Durham City
and around 8 miles
south west of
Newcastle upon Tyne.

On a nice day Beamish Burn is a pleasant walk, the arch is an old coal mine. It was closed down and the tunnel sealed. Also in the area are brick walls which are the remnants of where the boilers stood that used to pump out the mine. Beamish Burn photos taken September 2008.
