Wooler is an ancient market town and parish. It's 48 miles north-northwest of Newcastle and about 16 miles from Berwick Upon Tweed. Wooler is situated at the foot of the Cheviot Hills, alongside the A697 Morpeth-Coldstream road. The town is a pleasant place for a walk around on a nice day and is surrounded by picturesque hills and glens.
